HP computers that support keyboard backlighting typically have a backlight icon on the F4, F5, F9 or F11 key. You can press Fn plus F4 to improve backlighting on the keyboard and hit Fn and F3 to decrease backlighting and turn it off. The backlight key of Asus keyboard shows a tiny keyboard with glow lines, which often appears on the F3 and F4 key. Some Dell computers require you press Fn key with the Right Arrow key to light up the keyboard. If the illumination icon doesn’t display on a function key, check the Right Arrow key located at the bottom right area of the keyboard. According to your computer model, the keyboard backlighting can be controlled by hitting the function key individually or pressing the backlit key and Fn key combinations. You can check that fact by looking for an icon that looks like a glowing rectangle on the F6 or F10 key. Some Dell computers probably don’t have the backlit keyboard feature.
